Macy and Oliver were astronauts for Halloween. Macy has been wanting to be an astronaut for over a year now, and frequently her stories begin with, "When I go to space. . . " When Oliver see's his costume, he points to himself and says, " 'naut, 'naut "

Fun at the Farm

Camping

Our neighbors organized a camping trip to Falls Lake only 20 minutes from our house. We had beach access, and someone brought a canoe.

Few's Ford

This is one of our favorite places so far in North Carolina. Further up there is a little waterfall and little pools to explore. Watch out for snakes though!

She's been begging me for months for this.

It took most of Saturday and part of Sunday to finish it.

She loves it. And the best part. . . I don't have to do her hair everyday!

I found these chairs in our basement. Macy helped me pick out the oilcloth and recover them. They turned out so lovely that I couldn't resist a few pictures

Who needs sleds

Macy has been begging for a sled. We went to Target to get one, but they were sold out of the cheap kind, and I refused to pay $40 for a plastic sled. So, we improvised.
